Dr. David Ball is a fellowship-trained Foot and Ankle Surgeon specializing in the treatment of complex disorders of the lower extremities. He is committed to helping his patients get back on their feet quickly and safely. He has expertise in optimally managing conditions conservatively and will advance to surgical intervention when necessary.
He specializes in a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Ball’s proficiency extends to bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, stem cell therapy, cartilage repair, ligament and tendon repair, minimally invasive techniques, total ankle replacements, Charcot reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, external fixation and lower extremity trauma. He treats children and adult patients and speaks fluent Spanish.
A native of Utah, he attended Brigham Young University where he completed a bachelor's degree in public health. Then, journeying to Cleveland, Ohio he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation, he completed his surgical residency at University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Ball advanced his clinical and surgical skills by completing a fellowship in advanced foot and ankle surgery at University Hospitals and Precision Orthopaedic Specialties. This specialized training had a strong emphasis on sports medicine, joint replacement and complex limb salvage, affording him the privilege of working with athletes across all levels, from high school competitors to Olympians.
In addition, Dr. Ball has authored several manuscripts, posters, and peer-reviewed journal articles on a variety of foot and ankle conditions. He has also shared his insight as a lecturer at several lower extremity conferences. He is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and he holds qualifications from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Beyond his medical commitments, Dr. Ball enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing sports, coaching, being outdoors, restoring his VW Beetle and playing guitar.
